The idea behind the Proyecto Entropia arose from the discovery of the pieces by the architect Jo Nagasaka , a series of very basic pieces of furniture which are treated with an intricate surface finishing technique called Udukuri, in which very fine layers of wood are poured over and then leveled with paint. So the veining of the wood is partially colored and perfectly smooth.

In such a limited process in which values like production or ergonomics respond to preset and reproductive parameters, the Proyecto Entropía was born as a radical proposal to rethink the relationship between user and product.
